Ideas needed for brownie night, if it is dry we might have sparklers outside, but need some dry ideas.

black paper and chalk to draw your own fire works or sparklers designs.

heaps of glitter, black paper and paper hole-punches? stars and firework display pics.

would making some sort of lantern be a nice thing to do - y'know the sort where you cut lines in the paper after you've decorated it?

good ol' duck-apple, toffee apples and so on - hang apples or similar on a 'washing line' type arrangement and they have to put their hands in their pockets and try to bite!!
(the apples of course, not each other)

They are having a halloween party this week so I was thinking more crafty activity things. They have already made lanterns for a competition.

Like the idea of using the holes punch paper.

I like the sparklers idea you can get those garlands failry cheap. (good web site)

So far I thought

rocket bookmarks,

or bonfire pictures (lots of black paper, torn strips of red and orange paper and sequins etc.)

toast marshmallows over a tea light,

and edible sparklers (chcolate finger, dip quickly in hot water then into hundreds and thousands)

oh, brain working now just as i was about to switch laptop off
We made some great firework mobiles - all kinds of sparkly stuff (bits off christmas decs, wrapping paper, threaded shiny beads, tin foil and such) suspended from an old CD with fishing line or cotton. sounds bonkers but worked a treat. Oh, we made salt dough stars as well, dried them and painted them silver, and hung them in the centre of the mobile[cd]. Have still got one of these creations hanging in the dses bedroom!!

Oh cackle witch that sounds far to much for my feral brownies,

Ach they are not too scary just bloody hard work and loud. I am only a parent helper, but already labeled as the creative one. They don't know MN is my secret creative idea bank.

I absolutely agree about feral Beaver Scouts, much worse than Brownies, some of mine are terrifying!
