Where to buy craft bits and bobs

I am really keen this coming year to make my own cards and wrapping etc. Nothing too fancy just simple stuff. Have been in to town today as SIL just had new baby and bought some bits and bobs to make card and wrap present in (gingham ribbon etc) but there doesnt seem to be one specific place to buy in town. Is there a good website that sells inexpensive craft stuff? Help would be appreciated and any ideas on your card making or wrapping. TIA for your help.

Winston - long shot but if you're in or near Manchester there are a couple of amazing craft places - let me know!

Already buzzing with ideas Dior so reckon it wont take me long to get hooked!
Thanks for offer Dottydot but in Somerset. I am sure there must be some around the town but the only one I did find seemed quite expensive.

I have loads of bits & bobs I am trying to get rid of (for not much money) if you are after anything in particular. I'm making less cards & more jewellery these days, so am trying to slim down my card stuff!

Hobbycraft is good because there are lots of things under one roof so you can browse but its not particularly cheap. We have a grden centre nearby that has a small craft section which is quite good too. Tesco also do a range of craft stuff, if you have a decent sized one nearby

Lakeland (the kitchen people) sell craft stuff.

the range sell bits and bobs too, if you have one of those close by. Also cheap book shops often have sets for not much money - probably good for you to get started and practise with.

Craft Creations have a good catalogue of stuff and do a quarterly magazine with projects and ideas in. I think their website is www.craftcreations.co.uk.
