What's the best stuffing to use to make a soft toy soft?!?!

DD really like ultra soft squishy soft toys and I want to make something for her. What's the best stuffing to use???

Jelly cats are very soft but I think they use tiny beads????

yes, jellycat use beads. But you need to make 2 toys effectively, one for the beads, and then a outer shell - to prevent the beads coming out if you have a small hole. An easier way is to make a square bean bag shape, fill that with beans and use it for the main body, but stuff the rest with normal toy stuffing. HTH!

No, sorry!!! But what about something like bulgar wheat? It wouldn't be washable, but you could make it removable, and if you put some lavender in with the wheat, you could heat the whole thing up in the microwave and make it a little hot smelly, cuddly thing.

I used unspun alpaca wool in a doll. It's lovely and soft but quite wispy and gets everywhere until it has been sewn in.
