I have a set. I've found they're okay unless working with fine yarn as the change in thickness of the cables is a tad abrupt. If you're used to using something like an addi circ you're in for a shock

Thank you, I've only used the normal workaday metal one, can't remember the brand but you can buy them most places.

Pony/aero types? They were the first circs I used too. If you've the chance to get a set of the Boye inters cheap then go for it. I got mine through a swap on another forum. Two boxes of Yorkshire Tea and some biscuits for an expat and they were mine. I'd not fork out for them full price though.

You can get the knitpicks inters in the UK now, I think from getknitted. They're £40 but they're quite nice to play with, very shiny. Only problem I have with them is that they don;t do much in the way of shorter cables, with 24" being the shortest they do.

Thanks for that agnesnitt, will bear it in mind, I know someone is who is selling theirs for 15 quid so will take them, I think.
And yes, they were the pony ones, couldn't think of the name!

£15 isn't bad at all, I'd say it was a fair price.

I love the first Pony circ I ever got, it is in almost continuous use as I always have a Hogwarts scarf on the go as I have a waiting list of people wanting one. I tried knitting one with an addi and it all feels wrong, I need the rigidity of the unforgiving cable it would seem
