Thats it really.

DH has said that I can have either and the choice is mine.

Which one would you say is the best buy?

well there are good things and bad things about both.
I have a sizzix and I love it. The only thing I can't cut on it is the thick cut BS dies. Everything else I can cut. I know others love their big shots.

Personally I prefer the Sizzix...have a BS but only tend to use it for cutting multiple thin cuts for titles etc

If I was a newbie and starting out I would go for a Wizard...it is compatible with all dies and very easy to use....very lightweight and durable.

Of course theres alweays the Craft Robo....much cheaper in the long run than paying out for all the sies you will "just have to buy" Grin

The Wizard is ok but you have to watch the plates don't shoot out across the floor

I've got the Sizzix, BS, wizard & Robo Craft I'm not boasting I'm just very lucky

I use all of them for different things but I use the sizzix the most.

Disadvantages
Sizzix
1 You can't cut a piece of C5
2 it won't take the large Ellison dies, it will take all the other dies if you buy a convertor

Big Shot
It takes everything and will cut a piece of C5 therefore you can cut appeture cards
No disadvantages apart from it feel a bit flimsy compared to the heavy sizzix

Wizard
Again no diadvantages apart from what I wrote at the top it will cut with all dies

Robo Craft
Bluddy expensive & I won't be without it the best thing I ever bought

Hope this helps a little

so can the robo craft cut anything at all? Wow! What do you use it for if you have one Carolinett?

Well Yes
Disadvantages
They say it will cut upto 280grm card but it doesn't and it won't cut thick mirror card.
So when you find a card weight that suites the machine which I have done through trial & error your laughing

Advantage
It will cut nearly every font, you can cut very small text to very large.
they give you acces to some templates but after that if you cut say a flower you have insert onto the page you have to outline it with one of the tools before you can send it to cut

I wanted a large bell shape so i imported it from clip art, outlined it, once you have outlined it you can copy and make the bell bigger or smaller

O I could go on for ever & a day what it can do

The bad news is they cost about £347 but once you have bought it you don't have to buy any extras it comes with the cutting blades and some other bit

Why didn't Yorkie like the bigshot, Pixiefish?

Cos she's a philistine Grin and doesn't know a good thing when she sees it Grin Grin

No, she feels that it isn't as sturdy as the Sizzix and feels- if it aint broke why fix it- she loves her sizzix and can't see the point in changing.

She does however fancy a sidekick
