Draft stopper for door

I want to make a draft stopper thing for our back door as the bottom of the door/frame is so drafty. I have some nice thick material and i'm ready to start sewing but i'm really not sure what to fill it with. Anyone made one and got any suggestions? :)

You've just reminded me of the six bags of rice I stored under ds bed, which I bought last year for the draught excluder that I didn't make...yet!

I read somewhere that it would work... And it was on offer, so cheaper than other options!

Note to self- make it!

I made one for my dad recently from a long black suede skirt. I just stuffed it then with old clothes and some wadding

I made a sausage of sand from some od DH's socks to go inside and then used some toy stuffing for the rest. It stays in place quit well and it also acts as a spider excluder Grin
