Can anyone help with scan report?

I've been told my baby a measurements are on the small side still have same due date can anyone help me understand the report please

Hi sonographer here. Your estimated delivery date is calculated at your dating scan and then will stay the same for the rest if your pregnancy regardless of what measurements are later done. We use the subsequent measurements to assess growth. Remember that babies, like other people, come in all different sizes and being ‘a bit on the small side’ is not necessarily an issue

it looks like a completely normal report to me but obviously I didn’t perform the scan so if you have any questions the best thing to do would be to call the unit where you had the scan and ask them to talk you through it

Thank you the lady said it looked normal too but baby was on smaller side it just worried me

Use the diagrams as a guide, with far left being lowest possible size, for femur for example, the mark in the middle being 50% and the far right being the highest. Your baby's scores are at about the 10 - 20% level. I'm pregnant at the moment and most of my baby's are slightly over 50%, so slightly bigger than average (which would be at 50%) but my DH is over 6 ft so we presume it's a "baby got dad's long legs" thing.

It's nothing to worry about, just baby being a bit on the small size. How tall are you and the baby's dad, as that may have an impact on baby's size. It doesn't mean that baby isn't growing, only that they're smaller than average.

Thanks for your reply hun both me and the baby's dad are 5ft5 just when I see the markers so far too the left I was soo worried x

Tamera, you'll also find that the measurements fluctuate with different sonographers. Ultimately it depends where they click their mouse on the screen.

If the sonographer was worried they'd have flagged it, looking at this, your little one will just be smaller than average, so roughly the same as his / her parents are now.

In order to have an average size at 50% you need some babies who are socking great chunks at 100% and some down at 10 - 20%. Your's might be an easier birth than the mum of the baby with the 100% size head.....

It’s hard to read but doesn’t page 2 say all measurements are normal?
The range that the markers are on are equivalent to centiles - out of 100 babies one has to be right at the low end and the other at the high end and all the others in between. They’re all normal measurements
