I had my 12 week scan on Monday - my nuchal measurement was "normal" at 2. and everything on the scan looked "normal". however I had a call the next day to say I am high risk of T21 /18 /13 - my beta hcg was 0.9 and my PAPP-A 0.275. The have given me a risk of 1:64 for T21 and 1:600 for T13 and T18. I am 38. I am beside myself with worry and cannot stop crying. I went for the private NIPT blood test on Wednesday - so just waiting for those results to come back. I am absolutley terrified and beside myself. This is baby number 2. everything with the first (who is now 4 and a half) was so easy and straightforward. I cant get my head round all this.

I think the waiting is the worst part. Once you know if there is an issue, you can start taking control again.

The odds are still in your favour though, there's still a very good chance your baby is unaffected.

We knew from the scan that there were serious problems with our baby and the blood yes just confirmed it, as did the CVS we had afterwards. But just waiting for the news is awful.

Try and do some nice things to take your minds off it, even for a few minutes.

Still no results. Hospital says they are due back Tomorrow. The waiting is absolute torture. Spent all day today being sick.. not sure if it due to worry, pregnancy or a bug. Thank you for the positive thoughts xxx
