to find it strange that DH records himself farting

I realise this sounds quite ridiculous (have namechanged).

DH gave me his LG phone as he got a new upgrade, he left all the music on it because we like similar stuff.

DS aged 2 woke up v.early this morning so I got in his bed and was playing music on the phone to him, to let DH and DD sleep until his alarm.

In a folder marked 'unknown' i found all these really long sound clips of disgusting wet, loud LONG farts. I have never heard farts like it. DS was laughing his head off, and I did kind of giggle because they were so unbelievable! I thought that they must have been downloaded from the net or something.

But at the end of one clip, my DS's unmistakeable voice, saying 'Daddy?'

The phone has a voice recorder on it!
Theres loads of them, all dated...going back a year or so. There's even one from the day our baby DD was born! AAhhhh.

When he woke up I said 'there's a lot of farts on that mobile you gave me!' - he went quiet then mumbled that he wanted to attach them to an email to his mate or something. I said 'oh ok' and left it.
After he went out I went back to the phone and he'd secretly deleted them all!

AIBU to think this a bizarre hobby? To record yourself doing that? Mind you, they were so extraordinary that I suppose he is quite proud of them!

Have you ever discovered your DH/DP does something secret and weird?
I kind of want to laugh and wind him up about it, but not sure if I should!

I knew people would say this is a troll! Actually, when I first discovered this I was dying to tell mumsnet but kind of held off because I knew I'd get accused of trolling.

It is way too unbelievable, but absolutely true! I don't have the imaginaion to make it up, LOL. Pity he deleted, I can't email them out to you to prove now...

Blokes can be pretty puerile though. He works in an all male environment so I suppose it could be part of some gross blokish joke.

Have you tried googling farts? Honestly there are HUNDREDS of sites where people can post their best fruitful flabby woof-woofs.

I've never googled it myself, but I am aware that men can find this kind of thing hilarious. Just weird to think of my own DH actually sitting in the loo recording himself. He's actually quite private, I don't think I've ever heard him fart normally in the 5 years we've been together!

I was on two minds about whether they were downloading from the net, I suppose the little boys voice could be someone elses?

But the secret deleting makes me think its definitely him!

So do you think I should bring it up or leave it? I'd like to just laugh about it with him and find out why etc, but I'm not sure he feels very happy about it! He just phoned me, and is so down in the dumps you'd think someone had died!

My brothers do it all the time. I find it hilarious!
Once, DB3 asked DB4 to breathe out and let out every bit of air in his lungs. Then pinned him down and farted in his face. "Poor" DB4 had no choice but to breathe it all in!

PMSL My DP farts all the time, there's no way he could hold it in and keep it from me! Having grown up with older brothers I generally find it funny although I know it's puerile. In your situation I think I'd just laugh at him.

My DH has very strong um self control in that area and NEVER knowingly farts in my presence. Sadly the effort of keeping them all in all day, sadly backfires when he is asleep!
