AIBU?

...to be contemplating walking out the front door and leaving DH and 3 DC for Notting Hill Carnival.

I took 3 DC away alone last week due to DHs work commitments and it turned out to be a bloody nightmare so I came home after 4 nights.
DH has been an utter prick since I got back, all snappy and abrupt and has done FA in the house whilst I've been away, the washing I'd put on as I headed out the front door had made it onto the line only the morning of my return.
Since DC3 was born 11 months ago I've been gagging for a day and night alone to recharge my head and soul, my request is repeatedly denied.
It is now 1pm on Sunday afternoon and the MF is still in bed.
I'm dying to walk outta the door and leave the kids with his lazy arse, I'm fcuking sick of this drudgery.
Shall I go to Notting Hill or sit around waiting for him to remember he has a family on the other side of his duvet?

Go to Notting Hill. I would. He'll survive, so will the kids and it'll be a wake-up call.

Dh has gone to a zillion conferences around the world recently. I decided enough was enough and have signed myself into my own conference this October (with his blessing, fortunately, in my case ). Sooooo looking forward to it. Last time I was away from them all I spent a week with my mother helping her to convalesce - not quite the break I was looking for .

Goooooo, have a fabulous time, and then tell us about it!
But on your way out, put the children in the room he's in and then leave!!

I'm surprised you don't just tell him you're going and go. Sounds like his turn to look after the sprogs otherwise you're heading for divorce.
