Every fu*&ing time I turn on Women's Hour, they are bleating on about cancer.

Can't they just give it a rest?

Is there nothing else that women are concerned about?

Well, the presenter Jenni Murray has gone through breast cancer in the last few years...so a subject close to her heart.

I know. Its all just a bit morbid. And as a family beaten with the cancer stick, it gets on my tits

LOL,yes,a bit.I do love WH though. It gets me through the washing up/hanging out washing/cleaning kitchen time, and is infinitely better than anything on tv.

TBH I'd not noticed a disproportionate amount of cancer coverage (though come to think I've not had the radio on much during the hols)

yep, its cancer, or some other life-threatening disease, or abuse (if not in the UK, then in another country) - marriage problems occasionally pop p for some light relief. Quie often you finish that programme and go on to one of equal misery potential...

sometimes the play is good (We have to talk about Kevin? not that vomit-inducing production of Cherie money-grubbing Blairs bio though..>yech

I am quite enjoying this weeks "Book of the week" also.

It used to be euthanasia. Years back.

Indeed OOM - the abuse obsession is also quite prolific - and also get on my tits

I think I am coming to the conclusion that WH gets on my tits and has disappeared up its own arse

they never talk about positive things...i mean i'm trying to think of things that have made me laugh....nope.

sometimes they dig up interesting musicians (though normally not very good, but interesting)

they cover parenting manuals >yawn< and 'new research' things but I generally find those totally unsuprising.
I find the attitude to childbirth and Breastfeeding annoying too (on the part of the presenters).

I really can't remember if it was ever any different though.

I need regular holidays from womens' hour (and the archers too!), but would never give up Radio4.

OOh no, radio 4 is the splashback of my life.

the Archers is sometimes one of the better things on.
