AIBU?

Am I being unreasonable to want to learn to do the "moonwalk"

even though I'm unco-ordinated, fat, and in my mid-forties - it really is a great dance move, but how does one attempt such a feat?

Any helpful tips would be appreciated. My brother is getting married next month and I desparately want to do this dance when I'm drunk at his wedding, I just know he will howl with laughter - plus it will embarass my kids and it's traditional for drunk parents to embarass their kids in my family.

Go for it! For a hen do in Edinburgh recently I arranged for a group of us to learn the moves to Thriller.

I simply rang up a dance school and they spent a few hours teaching us how to do it. Brilliant fun and a skill for life. Ha ha!

You need youtube, there's a few teaching vids on there. Not that I've tried of course it was for a friend.

If a fitness dvd was released on 'how to do the moonwalk' I would most definitely get it.

nametaken, you sound like me (well, the uncoordinated, fat, and in your mid-forties bit, anyway!!)

I decided I wanted to learn to moonwalk after I saw Davina McCall doing it on BBBM and I have concluded that it is all in the knees. You have to throw your leg forward and bend the knee as if you were walking forward and then you drag your foot back.

Simples!!

My hours of practice have brought a new lease of life to our marriage, apparently Dh has never laughed so much throughout the 20 years we have been together

YANBU. I have never been able to do it and it is one of my greatest ambitions. If I could do it I'd moonwalk bloody everywhere, just because I could.

What a tool.

I have just attempted it using Fites instructions and humilated myself in front of my own children.
