AIBU?

to be annoyed that thanks to Facebooks latest change, I'm going to be bombarded with pointless quiz results again!

I had a thing called GreaseMonkey installed as an add-on to Firefox for the express purpose of blocking the endless stream of completely pointless quiz results that my friends seem to post (do they not have better things to do with thier time?) but today I have had to disable it

This is because Facebook decided to make changes to the way the news feed runs yesterday and now GreaseMonkey blocks the entirity of my news feed not just the quizzes. I would guess this is probably in response to complaints from the quiz-programmers that thier stupid spam wasn't getting through anymore.

I don't want to know what sort of vegetable/soap opera character/car/day of the week/teddy bear/computer game my friends are - why is Facebook forcing me to find out?

Can you not use "Hide?" (hover over the right hand side of quiz results and the option appears out of nowhere).

I removed a (very old school) friend once because they had taken a quiz entitled "What kitchen utensil are you?"

Hoorah! The GreaseMonkey app has been updated so I can once again block quizzes and still see my news feed

I am quiz free once more!

I could hide them all Gently but you have to do it one by one and there seem to be thousands of them!

And my friends were finding 5 or 6 new ones a day!!

83 though!!! And there are more out there.

FB Purity puts a little counter in the top corner of the screen that says "FB Purity has blocked X applications" which is just as satisfying and involves less effort.

Apparently I need to reinstall it to get the fixed version but the links not working at the moment.
