cancel your membership and use the money to get yourself a wii fit. Works better for me, wasted a criminal amount of money on gym membership. Only ever worth it if you can be arsed to go at least 3 times per week, and who can with l.o's??

we got a running machine and it's great. can use it when ever and the kids laugh at you for 10 minutes whike you have a bit of a work out. expensive outlay but it's always there and i use it more than the gym membership i had. since school has restarted i have also started to walk the boys to school and so far this week i have walked 12 miles!!!

good for you denbury, keep up the good work!
changingsoon, I can't tell you how much I've spent on memberships that I've never gone (time and excuses never seem to end) but there really isn't anything you can do there that you can't figure a way to do at home. Even if you just march in place or jump up and down a bit you are doing something good for yourself.
I got up on a Saturday very early (couldn't sleep) and there were all these infomercials on for losing weight. I think if you go through a channel and just do the exercised for 5 minutes then change to another and do the same you get the benefits of all but your purse is still in your pocket! and yes, I'm a cheapskate. I'd rather have the money for something else than to give it to them. ;)
