dd3 had her fingers caught i na door today at SGK house. have eben at the hospital for hours with her getting x-rays etc done (btw do not blame SGK or her kids for this, it was just an accident). dd3 has fractured two fingers, and her nail beds have come detatched from her fingers, two hours later her fingers were still bleeding, so as you can imagine her fingers are a bit of a mess. tomorrow morning, i have to take her to another local hospital to see the platic surgeons to get her nail beds reattached if possible. this clashes with dd2 birthday, my ante-natel appointments and dh blood tests. i have said i will cancel my appointments and reschedule them for a later date. dh will not budge on his. i am a bit peed off, as he wont even call his hospital and ask if its ok to get the bloods done 24hours later.

yes i am being unreasonable. but really dont want dd2 spending her birthday in a hospital waiting room with me or dh.

Aw bless her! (DD3)
Did you have any plans for DD2? Why don't you promise her a special treat for another day?

But DD2 would have been spending some of her birthday in a waiting room anyway with the bloods & your appointment? Surely if you've cancelled your appointment then you just do the plastic surgeon instead?

dd3 was very brave though. she only cried near the end when the blood seeped through the guaze.

Ah... arse.

How important are his bloods? Life n death, or a possible off level for a day?

Misdee

This is really annoying, but this time last year I had matchsticks in my eyelids, waiting for him to go from being Poorly Peter, to Pink Peter. It is still early days for him, so can you try and work around him,if you can.
??

oh, misdee!

so sorry about dd3! owwwww.

no, YANBU.

he could ring and have them done at a different time of day, even if he explains why, and/or take along DD3.

Is anyone else loving seeing Misdee moaning about normal things with Peter?

I know it doesn't help you, but was just thinking back to the day of the transplant when we were saying about your life becoming "normal" again and you whinging about him

(I was techwhobreaksthings btw)

he will have to take dd1+2 with him. he is going to try and get the nurse at GP surgery to do it, if not, he will have to take a bus across town to local hospital, as i will have the car at the other hospital in stevenage.

his bloods are for tacro level and kidney function.

my appointment was for growth scan, diabetes check up, anti-d check up and general ante-natel appointment, plus try to wrangle a fast track to physio as well.

bree i understand what you are sayiong.

but i have shifted my appointmnts round many times in teh last year as dh always take precedence over them in terms of importance.

i just dont want dd2 birthday to be a complete washout for her seeing as its the fist once since she was 2years old that hasnt meant to be revoloving around hospitals.

sounds reasonable for him to at least ring the GP to see if the nurse can do it and explain that dd3 needs treatment.

or to take the older two by bus. they're not babies, he doesn't have to pick them up and get them on and off the bus.

it's only the once and it sounds like you need to keep your antenatal appointment.

mine will have to be rescheduled, as dd3 will be under sedation. i can get the basics done at community clinic later in the week. will just pop by tomorrow am and let them know that end whats happenign and why i wont be there (same hospital dd3 is due to be seen at).

dd1+2 love the bus, so wont be a problem.

the timing is just bad though, as am not sure how dd3 wil lreact to sedation, pain levels etc, and bowling is definatly out for the day.
