completely a"$%holed and asleep in a taxi, so much so that the driver had to lift him to the sofa cos he couldn't wake up. Is just too much to cope with on a Friday night? How do I deal with this one in the morning apart from packing his bags for him tonight..........

hoover around him very, very early.

Or, if you have a smoke alarm, set if off. (I did that once. Very satisfying)

No. It isn't. But it seems everytime he goes out he has to drink to excess. He goes out about twice a year. He does drink a few cans every night tho. Cannot go for one day without having some beer. Even though i have suggested it.

I did give the taxi fella an extra fiver - out of DH's wallet!

Coming home bladdered twice a year wouldn't bother me as such (in the sense of being overly concerned about his relationship with alcohol) but it would probably piss me off a bit at the time...

I suppose it depends on why he needs/wants to drink every day that determines whethre there is a problem or not?

christ yes tip the cabbie well, for carting slobbering drunk to sofa

why don't you go out with the girls get munted and carried home by cabbie?

if it isn't all the time, if it is an irregular blow out. don't think id bother. LO revenge would be hoovering sat morning whilst frying eggs singing loudly

Not that it has anything to do with it but what does he do for a living to be that bladdered by 8.45?

He manages a recording studio. Straight into town tonight from work a 4.30........ Gonna set my alarm clock now for the hoover!

Well if he does it twice a year, I'd not be overly cross. Hopefully he'll wake at the normal time and be his usual charming self?

I'd just make sure he got up in the morning, he's had an afternoon of fun so only fair you get something too imo.

I sympathise!!! DH is still out..doesnt' sound too bad but he went out with work cronies which probably meant that they left the office at 5 ish or maybe earlier....4 1/2 hours keeping up with the boys...sounds like a hangover to me! Also made significantly worse by me being a holier than thou pregnant DW sitting at home in her slippers!
