I look after a little girl on a Tuesday evening. Her class are performing a dance routine in a presentation evening at the local theatre along with the majority of the other primary schools in the borough so they've been practising in school. It's in collaboration with the councils sport and dance dept who have been going into the schools to help them prepare for the show. Grace was in yr 1 before breaking up, going into yr 2 in sept. I found out that the song they are dancing to is Nickelback - Rockstar. Some of the words in that song are I thought they should be able to choose something more geared towards 6/7 yr olds ffs.

Totaly unsuitable - what on EARTH were the organisers thinking of? I think I would be raising an objection with the Council - the song is censored on some mainstream radio stations, with 'drugs' and other words silenced out, indicating it's unsuitability for a wide audience. I would suggest that the Council relook at it's policy re. age appropriate lyrics.
