to consider selling the quinny, gift from parents, as the cheap buggy we brought for our holiday is better

yes we had the whole package as a gift, the dreami and buzz.

it was really good when dd was a small baby as i like the dremi pram part.

just come back from a week away in majorca, and brought a 40 o baby buggy, its lightweigh umbrela folding rainovers, reclines the works.

its actually asier to use than the quinny
its smaller and easier to get round the shop etc

im actually thinking of selling the quinny is that really out of order as it was a gift?

I had the same dilemma. I solved it by buying a lightweight buggy and wheeling out the Buzz for longer walks.

My PILs love the Buzz though and I have posted previously on their views regarding the use of our buggy. Our lack of use did cause some resentment, I must say.

it's actually better if someone who has a small baby gets some use out of it. You might tell the giver that now that an umbrella folder is more suitable, you are going to sell the quinny on - offer some/all of the proceeds to the giver.

I am in a huff with my Quinny Buzz just now (just posted on it on AIBU) and there seem to be many people about who have also had bother with it so I say sell it! We use our lightweight buggy far more too.

I'm sure your parents would rather see you getting something useful with the proceeds than it lying unused and unwanted in your loft or garage.

and...it was a gift so yours to do with as you please really, but perhaps have a chat to your folks about it first!

PIL bought ours as well, but fortunately they don't seem to have a problem with us having bought a zapp for travelling/keeping in the car, probably because they realise it means not having to put a roof box on the car when we come and see them so we can put doggiebeanbag in the boot.

I do find it handy having the zapp in the car and the Buzz parked by the front door, but then we do have a handy pushchair-sized space so it's not in the way.

Have to say I love my Buzz.

But if you're not going to use it then sell it. Tell your parents that it was great when dd was a baby but you find this compact buggy much more useful now she is bigger. Therefore you are going to sell it so that you can buy something else for her.

Have to say that if they are hacked off by this then they are being very unreasonable!

My inlaws bought a first baby a pram and high chair and she is cool with me selling both. Not that I have yet. Someone did look at the highchair, said they would contact me to get the instructions, and didn't.
