To be f*cked off with people letting the lift doors close in my face - TWICE!!

So i go out at lunchtime and waddle back to the office (am 31 weeks pg). I approach the lifts (there are five) and as i'm getting there, the middle lift doors open and in go two people who KNEW i was walking towards the lift too. I got there and they let the doors shut in my FACE! Very rude!! So i said "thanx!" in a sarcastic way through the doors. By this time a little man had appeared next to me in the foyer, also waiting for the lift. The lift comes along, i waddle towards it. He jumps in, presses his number and start to let the doors close on me!! This time i manage to shove my hand through the closing gap (where the sensors are) and say in a really loud voice to him "FOR GOD'S SAKE!!" because he KNEW i was walking towards the lift. I got into the lift, pressed my floor number and he just looked at his feet and said nothing. Rude bar steward!!

AIBU to expect some sort of manners in an office block in the City?? I am firmly of the opinion that the majority of City bods are bloody rude feckers anyway, but am i expecting too much to expect some leniency while i'm obviously heavily pg??

No YANBU. They are wnkers to behave like this. I guess you could poss give the first lot the benefit of the doubt if there was any way you could have been going somewhere other than the lift but the man who arrived after you and saw you were waiting is an ignorant twt.

That's the thing Alice, i could not have been going anywhere else other than to wait for the lift! The first lot saw me waddling towards the lift too. They are all wankers very rude!

I tend to jab somewhat unhelpfully at the "close doors" button in this situation because the arrows confuse me.

Perhaps they were terrified the lift would get stuck and you'd go into labour and...

This happened to me but I was in labour, trying to get to Maternity on the 14th floor, and the people who let the doors shut in my face were a bunch of nuns! You'd think if anyone was going to take pity on you it would be nuns .
