I'm posting here for traffic as no response in home decor! About to decorate our bedroom and the furniture will be cashmere with cashmere gloss fronts. I'd initially thought I'd go grey carpet, with one wall with grey/silver wallpaper and then the rest of the room a really pale warmer grey. However I picked up some colour cards this afternoon which I held against the furniture and they looked more of a creamy brown ( somewhere between middle two in pic on right) so thought maybe grey wouldn't work. Then tonight, the same colour card in a different light looks shades of grey (pic on left). Any suggestions as to what colours you'd go for?

I like the Chaulk Blush. It's a very nice warm grey that is easily adaptable.

Go for a cool grey and a cool brown, or warm versions of each.

It's when you mix cool and warm shades together that things get a bit clashy.

I'd use a colour wheel online. Start by Googling the hex number;
dulux chalk blush hex number is ded9d6 and is a shade of light orange.

Then enter that into the colour wheel and look at the complementary and contrasting colours. Collect the hex numbers then google
''hex number ded9d6 Dulux paint'' to find the nearest shade in that brand.

There's an explanation of how colour wheels work here;

Thanks for the ideas, I'm going to look at the colour wheel now!
