111 for minor burn

My 2 year old dc burnt the tip of their finger touching the hob. Managed to cool it down give calpol and calm them down but rang 111 just in case because he's so young. I wanted a call back for advice but got childcare for dc5 and reluctantly went to A&E. I say reluctantly as I'm cautious about going out because dc5 is asthmatic and dc2 was happily playing with my phone by then using his burnt finger to scroll.
Anyway they sent me to the wrong hospital... No minor injuries seen. The nurse on triage had a quick look and told me to go home rather than the other hospital as dc was happy and burn is small.
Do I need to let 111 know that a nurse looked at it? She didn't take my details. Will it be on my file?

Doubt it. They'd be worked off their feet if they had to do follow ups.

111 is just a flowchart. They send almost anyone who rings about a child to hospital. They do not follow up.

Why would you need to let 111 know?

If anyone did contact you about it you'd just tell them what you've said here.

Note: my 2 year old burnt his thumb and 2 fingers at the start of lockdown. 3 sizeable blisters despite cold running water and first aid and 2 weeks of back and forth to hospital for dressings. I had a phonecall from our HV team because they could see he'd been to a&e for a "burn" but had no further information. I explained and they left it at that.

No it is fine. Keep an eye on it for any infection over the next few days.
Next time you are in a pharmacy or even at the gp ask for a tube of anti burn cream it is amazing a must with DC .
It cools the burn deep under the skin it works in carpet burns too win win.

No you don't need to follow up as far as I know. I never have when I've used them before and nothings ever come of it.

Thanks all. I'm only concerned in case they report me to my GP and say I didn't bother taking him. @UserOne his is less of a blister more raised skin. Or at least I hope it doesn't blister.
@WorraLiberty thanks for the link. I definitely need to do that. The NHS site said to seek emergency help if the burn was on small children so I thought I had better call just in case.
