Aibu to ask my husband to "have a word" with my friends husband

Summary- friend's husband is a cheating asshole who controls and belittles her. He tries to drive a wedge in between us all the time because he knows I've told her I would support her leaving him when she was considering it, I advised her about lawyers and rights etc. Anyway she didn't leave his gaslighting cheating ass and stayed with him forgiving him for telling their children she was crazy for months when she couldn't sleep with worry convinced he was having an affair (surprise! He was) anyway he read our messages and now hates me (!) For the way I spoke about him 🤣 So cut to present day, he is horrible to me when I see him, he won't respond when I greet him, he rolls his eyes when I speak and mutters under his breath then when I call him out he claims he didn't say anything 🙄 friend pretends this isn't happening. I avoid him as much as possible but our kids are on the same sports team and often he comes to watch. I assume.he does it so I will avoid him and to alienate her from support so he can have total control so I don't want to have it out with him. I am a very independent person and have never ever needed my husband to stick up for me, but I was telling him.last night and he wants to have a chat, o am very tempted as I know her husband would shit himself and would hopefully make him.think twice but is it just petty and should I just continue to ignore him?. Do you think it might escalate things at home and he might be extra cruel to her? He isn't ever violent but is verbally nasty and gives her the silent treatment for weeks on end thoughts?
