It gets easier

My ds has been in nursery since 22months old - he went from 9-5 3 times a week... so I'm used to the hours away (altho i was at uni) and he is also used to being away

Has your dd been at playgroup or something?

By next week, if she goes in ok, I hope you will feel calmer

Never mind whether you're ready, Dabbles - is she ready?

My dc could never wait to see the back of me ....

YANBU

My baby boy (ok my big boy, I now have another genuine baby boy but he's still my baby) started school today Its not the time apart as he's only doing half days atm and we're used to that from playschool but just the thought that he's at big school now and will be learning to read and write and think independantly of me and is growing up. He only turned 4 a few weeks ago.

But he was fine, as he walked into the classroom it was me clutching onto his hand not the other way round!

But it does get easier. DD is now in year 2, when she started I remember walking her to school with such a feeling of dread as I had some really awful school teachers as a child but she loves it and is doing brilliantly and I've been counting down the days till she went back!!
