To still be pissed off at the in-laws?

Sorry for long post...but details would be missed otherwise. I've been with my husband for ten years...never had issues with in laws until our wedding! A few issues have happened over the last three years since then, that I've always let go and been the bigger person...but they've really really pissed me off! So it was my sons first birthday recently. My husband was dead against us having a 'party' (I only wanted family only to be gathered to celebrate, eat cake and open presents) so I went with husbands choice as knew he was so against it. Sons birthday was a weekday, so I messaged my parents (they're separated) and said we would catch up over weekend before or after where they could see him and give him his gifts and have cake (would be separate meet ups due to them being divorced) Informed MIL of plans, and asked if they wanted to come over on his birthday, or a weekend. She replied at a weekend and would fit in with us. All seemed good. I planned to take my boy out for the day on his birthday and we opted to go zoo. Husband refused to take a day off work as said it's just 'another day'...fine! My mum usually looks after him on the day that his birthday fell on, so she was already off and said she would come with me. The Saturday before his birthday we went to my mums house, had a cake, few balloons and he was given his presents. My brother took some amazing pictures, so I sent them to MIL thinking she would like them. That was a mistake! My FIL went mental at my husband saying we had a party and didn't invite him, that he should've been there, he is his grandson, he feels pushed out, he feels my mum sees him more than they do 🙄 blah blah blah! It wasn't a party at all...it was my mum, my brother and my uncle and aunty. Nothing major at all. FIL said we had balloons, so must of been a party and they should have been there 🙄 FIL went on to say we MUST take him over their house on his actual birthday so they can see him as apparently MIL was very upset at not being apart of things. I said that's fine, will be back from zoo for 4pm (1.5hour travel) was told that's far too late. When at the zoo husband bombarded me with messages saying to please come home early as he just wanted to keep peace...his mum finished work at 3pm, she gets in house for 3.10....I was in the front door at 3.20 and was told not to bother now as MIL was tired and wanted to go to bed instead 😡😡😡 I was furious! I come home early, missed some stuff out, husband was moody for the rest of that day, him and his dad not talking, his parents behaving like god damn children and ruining their grandsons birthday over their own feelings...I know little one doesn't understand, but I do.... We take him there every single week so they can see him and spend time with him. They never come here. Little one seems my mum more as I spend time with her as she is my best friend, plus she has dropped her work hours to help us out for me to go back to work. Something MIL is not willing to help with. Husband now has said they want us over this weekend to have a birthday cake and celebration...I don't want to go...AIBU if I don't go? I am still so pissed off that yet again they behave like sodding children and throw their toys out the pram. Maybe wouldn't be so annoyed of this is the first time they have caused us grief, but it isn't
