Is there anyway to stop the OM taking DH’s ex wife’s (and therefore DH’s) last name?

Taking the name of your new wife’s (who got divorced because she was cheating on exH with you) previous marital name so that your new DC together and the previous marriage DC can all have the same last name? DH is pissed off but dealing with it calmly for the DC. DH has 2 DC from ex wife, DSD11 and DSS 9. I get on with them, no issues. They stay over every weekend. They have DH’s last name and there was been no debate about that changing. Now, the split happened up 4 years ago when DH discovered she was cheating with the man she is now marrying. Marriage ended straight away and I have since married DH. She kept DH’s name as she wanted same name as her kids. ExW and the OM (who might I add is a religious nut who does not believe in evolution and has tried to indoctrinate the kids and was also a complete prick to DH when he protested but that’s another thread) continued their relationship and he moved in and she is now 6 months pregnant. They get married next month. A few weeks ago ExW told DH that OM is taking her name (and by extension his) because they want to all have the same last name. So the OM who cannot stand DH (and vice versa) will be taking my DH’s name and the baby who is no biological relation to DH will also be taking the name. This also means my DC with DH share a last name with its dad’s ex wife’s child that she had with the guy she cheated on their dad with. Is there a way DH can block this legally?
