To think it would be nice to know who I may be voting for

Poll card came today. The only party that has sent me anything about the election is the Tories. Would it be too much to ask that people tell me who they are and why I should vote for them?

Not the first time an election has taken place when I’ve known none of the candidates. I even tried looking online. No joy there either.

This should be for local elections in your constituency, you can find information about councillors on the Council website. My polling card has arrived and I expect more details about which councillors are up for election shortly.

Nominations haven't closed - its 4th April. The big parties will have chosen their candidates a few months ago but no one knows the full list yet.

If you assume it's a cross between Kermit the frog and Mr Tumble for all parties then you'll be about right.

It’s because the nominations haven’t closed yet. I know who a couple of them are here because they have posted in local fb groups but I will look later in the week to find out more.

I might be voting for myself in the local elections. That makes things easier.
