Do you have to get jabs done at GP?

DS is due his 3rd set of vaccinations. Been on hold to our GP practice for 40 mins... it'll cut off once it gets to 45. They only have appointments available if you phone them as I went in the other day and they told me I need to phone after 2 when the appointments open up.

I don't have time to phone them for 45 minutes at a time to book my appointment and my son needs his jabs. Can you schedule them at some kind of walk-in or clinic? Or am I going to have to change drs surgeries?

Do the have an online system to book appointments? It sucks that you've been on hold for 30 mins.

As for your question, I don't know the answer I'm afraid.

My DS had a letter come through with his appointments for his jabs, no need to phone and book. I thought that was common practise, but apparently not!

Did you say when you went in that you were booking for jabs?? Because surely they usually book stuff like that in advance?!

@DeadDoorpost @Fattymcfaterson I think it's normal practice to be booked in advance if your DC is registered there after birth but I've just moved house. They told me to call and book over the phone when I went in. They don't have an online booking system! My old surgery did it was so much better. No idea what's going on or why they are giving me the runaround. Just want his jabs done 😩
