Had a weird, everything gone wrong kind of day.
Off work due to recent bereavement. First I ran in to the back of a head case, no damage but they completely over reacted. Then I went to a national trust type event, massive queues to the toilets, flush not working, rude woman next in the queue very loudly exclaimed how disgusting it was that I hadn’t flushed, she must have heard me keep pressing it, I quickly ran away.
Then my lunch came and everyone else’s was lovely and mine was under cooked, I ate round the under cooked bit and mentioned it at the end, only to be met by a disgruntled chef telling me it wasn’t undercooked despite the pool of blood.
Then I rushed round at home throwing food down the kids only to get to next activity to find out it had been cancelled and i’d forgot!

Yanbu. Ive got an exam tomorrow so today was fun. Not.
I have 2 exams the day after!

I locked myself out on the afternoon school run. Had to get schoolchildren looked after while I walked the long walk to doc for preschooler jabs. Preschooler fell asleep in pushchair and who on earth wants to be woken by a needle being stuck in your arms.

And then walk a long walk home in the rain.

I had purse stitches removed today. The nurse lied to me. I asked her if it would be sore and she said no, pulled off the large dressing and then she made a funny noise and said actually it was going to hurt due to the type of stitches. Then blood squirted or after she hurt me.

Afterwards my treat of a kfc didn’t happen as it was closed. :(

Lighthearted of course, my wound looks good to be fair and my ass is thankful I didn’t get the kfc :)

The nurse was lovely, I’m aware I sound about 9 lol.

My ex partner moved out. Emotionally exhausting.

I had to book an MOT for my car. I expect it'll cost a fortune.
I ate a slice of carrot cake in M&S (despite my better judgement)!
Then this evening the dog kept licking my neck and wouldn't stop. Turned out I'd dropped a bit of chocolate and it'd melted all over my top and dressing gown. The diet's gone completely to pot today.

I had the first ever reply to an email from my Ex-husband regarding my DD we've been separated over a year. Replying was harder than I ever imagined it to be (he left me with PTSD)

I had a falling out with DD’s music teacher over her excluding her once again from a choir festival that all her fellow choristers have been selected for. She’s only in ‘standard’ choir apparently and this festival is for ‘elite’. They are 6/7 and to be frank, all tone deaf.

I felt better once I told her we were going to cut our losses with choir as I couldn’t see it was offering any value. Which made me sound like a dick but I’m past caring.

I have a stomach bug with diarrhoea. In a literal sense, my day has probably been shittier.

My teenager had a massive meltdown, lasting 2 hours because the teavher made her redo her homework, which took 2 hours the first time. She had to go to an activity I'd paid for so I ended up writing the teacher a note to stop the screaming and throwing things

Day off work so went to the Trafford Centre to get a birthday present for someone. Got my period. Not a "better nip to Boots" period, more of a perimenopausal "shitINeedToGetOutOfHereAndPutAllMyClothesInTheWashingMachine" period. I flooded and had to drive home sat on a Bag For Life :-(

I turned my head for 5 seconds to get a nappy and cream...my DD1(4) opened my DD2 (10 weeks) nappy...DD2 put her foot in a huge pool of poop...then in front of my eyes slid said foot across DD1 face...actually her mouth. I shouted code brown and DH ran in and tripped over the dog. DDs were both thoroughly bathed and cleaned but I did have to chuckle at DD1 sitting on the couch after work a baby wipe and wiping her face. She told me it was the worst day ever lol.

Outing, but...

I took the first dose of a new medication at bedtime last night. Apparently it doesn't suit me. I know this because I woke at 3 with apocalyptic diarrhoea, followed swiftly by copious vomiting. So copious that when my kids woke, I couldn't stand or move or stop vomiting long enough to complete a sentence. Kids called ex, ex called 111, 111 sent paramedics who escorted my vomit covered self to hospital in an ambulance.

And it was during the school run, so all the parents got to see me in my pjs, covered in sick. The only way it could have been shitter is if I trod in dog poo on the way out the front door.

The agency I work for announced its closure, and then I found out that several family members are caught up in the devastation due to the cyclone/ flooding in Mozambique, and haven’t been heard from since Thursday.

I had surgery this morning , I’m trapped in my hospital bed -despite being told I needed to be up and in a chair within 5 hours- I’ve hurt myself trying to, unsuccessfully, lower the bed rails so I could get out myself, my cannula hurts, my catheter stings, my surgery site (and related insides) hurt, my water jug is empty and I’m really thirsty and they haven’t brought my painkillers yet and they said they would bring them ages ago.

Poor overworked staff deserve a medal dealing with their workload and I imagine they are all having a shitty day too!
