What is this pain?

Posting for traffic.

Yesterday I did a workout and felt weirdly weak during some of the strengtht based excersizes.

In the evening I developed a headache at the front of the forehead and around eyebrow and sinus and pain around my shoulder blades base of the neck and slightly radiating towards ears.

At night I started off shivering and tossed and turned throughout as in addition to pain described above I also had lower back pain, quad pain and calf pain - it feels like my calves are constantly on the verge of cramping. Also it has eased a bit at the moment but for most of the day so far I've had pain in wrists and ankles.

Its not super intense pain but very noticeable and I just feel weak and want to lay down/sit down all the time as it alleviates it.

Obviously it's non emergency and earliest GP appt is 2 weeks away by which time it will probably be over anyway.
So I thought I'd come here to see if anyone has had something similar and what's the best way to recover? I'm just taking it easy and trying to drink plenty of fluids ATM I don't have a temperature but do have an ache around my throat/under ears.

TIA

That sounds unusual. The muscles in the back/shoulders can all contribute to headaches but the shivering etc is odd. The rest I would dismiss as workout pains if it wasn't for that shivering etc. I agree it will probably be gone by the time you get a appointment but I would still ask the doctor in two weeks in case it happens again. Could mean anything so better to be safe than sorry.

You don't have to have a temperature to have a viral infection. In fact sometimes infection will not necessarily show up on a blood test. It could well be viral, though phone your gp for advice.

It sounds like the cold I have just managed to get rid of. Started with feeling weak and achey when running, then two day headache, then cold symptoms and finally a tickley cough that ruined the weekend.

But the weak feeling only lasted two days.

The shivering didn't last all night the rest I was just slightly too warm.
It's definitely not post workout muscle aches as they feel much different. They also don't make me feel so weak and lightheaded when I do something standing up for longer than 10mins.
I also have aches at the back of my knees 🙁

I feel the best when I'm laid in bed or sat down , moving around makes me worse.

Just thought I'd update since I've had a really tough night. I went to bed early in my pyjamas and robe because I was cold. Started sweating throughout the night and all the clothes came off which didn't stop the sweating at all. Still having all the pains and kept tossing and turning couldn't find a comfortable position. I ended up going downstairs for a slice of toast and glass of water as I was starving. I kept waking up all the time.

I had a shower this morning and had to sit down as I was feeling really weak. My mouth keeps going really dry even though I keep drinking.

I can't wait for this to be over 😔

Call 111 or go to a GP walk-in centre.
