To think my mom is lazy?

I currently live in America but was born and raised in the UK. My mum had me when she was 20. My mum is currently 50. I have a little brother who is 14. I'm 30. My brother texted me and said our mum sits on her ass all day on Facebook and that the house is always covered in mess and that he's expected to clean it all by himself if he wants to live in a clean house and that all she does is occasionally cook as he's expected to mainly live off of microwaved meals. This could be true as it was exactly what was expected of me and my sister when we were too young to move out. My mum doesn't work and has been on benefits ever since I was born. She has had several opportunities to get a job and has turned them down because she'd rather live on benefits. Our mum is overweight. My mom claims that the government are "thieving bastards" and despite takes money from them to live. I think she's being quite hypocritical. She has never ever had a job. She is very much what some would consider a "benefit scrounger" I don't know what to do or what to list this under. I feel sorry for my brother as I remember what it was like, and I don't know how I could possibly make it any better for him
