Embarrassed by my husband’s appearance

I am quite tall for a woman, My husband has had growth disorders and genetic issues and is one inch too tall to be classified as a dwarf. Much of our relationship was long distance though I did know what we looked like as we had been friends for years. When we became a couple it was with the view that ‘this is my soulmate, let them point and snigger’. We got married and after a few years it emerged that he had told several major lies including about finances, he lied about a qualification he had (he dropped out) and he had been having emotional affairs online. He said that he felt I was the only chance to have a relationship because of his looks so he lied and lied Me ‘oh I love Star Wars, I go to the conventions and everything!’ Him ‘oh wow, it just so happens I was going to the convention too!’ Years later: Him ‘I hate star wars, never liked it’. Me: I’m a vegetarian! Meat is murder! Him: Oh wow, me too, I’ve become a vegetarian this last few months! Years later: I hate being a vegetarian and secretly eat meat whenever I can. And on and on. I’ve had partners who eat meat, no problems. Who don’t share my hobbies. Fine. The issue is the lies. Our lives and finances are so linked. Leaving would be a real headache. He has been a step dad since my dc were tiny and a good one. It would be a wrench for them. We muddle along, we still have the same sense of humour (I hope!) and get along ok. So now, when we stand together in public I am conscious of what an odd looking couple we are. And there is no longer the cover of ‘yes, we look odd, but so what, we’re happy’. AIBU to cringe when people see us together.
