To hate my life

Anyone else out there who spends their entire life emptying & refilling the washing machine/ dishwasher ! Organising the kids activities but can't seem to find anytime to get a wax or haircut ?!? Is it just me that has a never ending pile of ironing? Without the funds to get someone else to do it? Stupid problems I know, no ones sick or abused but man do I want to get off the bus!!!!

My life's good but not what I expected, to have a day with the kids enjoying this beautiful weather means a night of catching up, cleaning, bleaching, ironing, washing!

YEp but sadly no dishwasher so endless washing up.
Don’t get me wrong I’m very happy but at times frustrated that there’s no point (for example) me having painted nails as my hands are permenantly submerged in bleach or a baby bath or soaking washing. it’s a balancing act between not letting the chores mount up till I cry and end up not doing anything fun with the day and my DD, can’t say I always find the happy medium but hopefully I get points for trying.

Hi kiddo! Hope that’s not patronising but guessing you younger then me? I am 50. I hsve 6 kids all just about grown up now.

I totally recognise your post and how you feel but wanted to share this. My oldest dh has a 2 year old and we were chatting and he said he wanted his kids childhood to be like his! I said so how’s that and he said

Idyllic! No way would I describe my parenting as that. I felt just like you. Smile

Glad I'm not alone! @Ohmydayslove thank you for sharing that! I really hope that mine feel the same! I love them so much but seriously come 9pm I've not even got the strength for Corrie!!! Only reason I'm up now is because the bloody cat is still out 😂

Totally and honestly most of us understand how you feel. Sheer hard work and unremitting but honestly it gets better :) xx

I hate my life today. I spent it marshalling a drug fuelled depressant through 9 hours in court and was then told I need to be back early tomorrow. It meant I was unable to make my sons birthday cake (hurrah for his dad) or wrap his present or blow up balloons for him and tomorrow I’ll need to leave at 7am to do it all over again. So I’ll habe to get him and my other 3 kids up early so spend 30mins celebrating his birthday before going to work. He’ll be asleep when I get back tomorrow night.

Grass greener n all that

Train your dcs to unload the Dishwasher and hang up washing. Don’t iron when hanging out clothes just give it a good shake.

Don't iron. Hang straight from the dryer unless its a proper shirt. Stop using fucking bleach, you will get lung problems.

Read 30 days to a clean and tidy house. After 1 go-through it takes 15 minutes to do top to bottom + one thing like washing or a proper clean of a cupboard.

If you dont have a dryer - get one! If you have a small washing machine get an 8kg capacity one. Washing and drying now only takes me 10 minutes of actual work and 9 of that os folding or hanging stuff. I can set a timer on the machine for the wash to start at 6am so its ready to be spun at 7am and then its out the dryer fluffy and perfect 35 minutes later.

Work smarter.
