To want us to watch something together

Okay my partner is Pakistani and spends alot of time on YouTube watching Pakistani channels in his own language. It's quite excessive and the earphones are always in.
I have attempted before to ask him to watch something with me but feel as though I am distracting him and spoiling his enjoyment. He sometimes has the earphones in whilst we eating at table and also in car bus etc. Aibu

He is lovely otherwise caring and loving maybe I am unreasonable

He isn't caring if you are sat on the sidelines while he is tuned in elsewhere.....
