I love hosting and the whole idea of it and he just wouldn't be in to it.

I'm a Pinterest person, I love looking at building bar carts, guest bedroom baskets and house warming parties, dinner parties. Im so looking forward to having a place I can invite people to and be proud of it and be a great host. DP and I have discussed moving in together when I move out (2nd time ) of my parents this year. But I really want to enjoy it being my house for just a little while and invite people over as I've never been able to, without having to consult with DP if he's in the mood to have my niece round for a sleepover or my DM & DGM round for dinner.

Does that sound silly?

Not at all. I love hosting and it's important to me, so I totally get where you're coming from. If it's important to you you should definitely prioritise it!

Maybe if your partner comes along to some of your lovely parties he'll realise that hosting is fun after all

My boyfriend has his own place and I have my own place and with our work it really works - but I like the fact I can do what I want when I want with my place and have whoever I want over without asking!
