Complaining to TFL about bus injury - any point?

I used one of the new London buses with 3 doors yesterday, like I do most days. It was a quiet time of day and the bus wasn't busy. Only one passenger got off using the back door, and I got on the bus immediately after he had left - then the driver shut the doors far too early, crushing my thigh in the door. I've never seen this happen before as I imagine they usually check their mirrors for passengers getting on and off. The doors close incredibly fast with no warning noises etc.

I struggled to sleep last night due to the pain in my thigh radiating down to the bone. It hurts to put weight on my left leg, and although a bruise hasn't formed yet I'm certain it will be glorious.

Obviously I'm not grabbing for compensation or anything, but I'm furious that this could happen. My grandmother would be hospitalised if this had happened to her. I don't know whether there's any point complaining as this may well be a common occurrence and I'm not sure what they could do about it anyway, expect possibly speaking with the driver concerned? Would you make a complaint and how hard would you push for follow up actions?

please please PLEASE report this. So much bus awfulness in London - I can't remember the number of injuries every day, but far more than you'd believe.
Drivers are under impossible pressure to keep to impossible timetables and work under totally unreasonable conditions (for private companies, not TfL). please please please report it! things need to change.

Bloody hell, I travel all the time on those buses and yes, I've often been caught in the doors, especially when the bus is packed but the doors are always quite gentle and should not cause any kind of injury?

I think you should report the bus rather than the driver, as that door needs looking at.

Absolutely report, if nothing else but to ensure it doesn't happen to someone else.
Also, please get yourself checked out properly. I had an injury that looked like nothing, turned out to be a fracture.
What happened to you is unacceptable and they will have footage from cameras of it happening- and they have a duty to ensure it never happens again

don't feel you are reporting 'the driver', as others have said, it's the bus and the system
