I can’t speak Spanish. Google can’t help me.

My DS says that he doesn’t know what it says - he needs to hand it in tomorrow.

Help us cheat?

From my rubbish memory you need to match everything si it is masculine or feminine so boys end in o for adjectives and girls in a.

Why can't your DS understand it? presumably he has been learning Spanish so should have some clue.

I would suggest your DS:

  1. checks agreements
  2. checks tenses
  3. uses a dictionary & verb tables
(I don't know Spanish enough to help, but DD did it to AS so I picked some bits up along the way)

Start by writing every word he does know the meaning of above its Spanish counterpart. Then look up the words he doesn't know. Then think what it is trying to say.

Que se llama* in first sentence (it says llamo).

The mistakes are mainly agreement of adjectives with masculine / feminine. Tell him to stop being lazy and get a dictionary!

Fourth line down should be NO ES, not ES NO

@Mars100 Why is my post useless? Why is the OP trying to do her son's homework is she knows no Spanish? Confused

Report
Ellisandra · 05/12/2017 20:16

Why is it a useless post? It's a fair point.
I would be asking the same thing to the son.
Of course if he could just do it he wouldn't have asked. But he should have more idea than his mum what is required and where he could go for help (text book, exercise book, dictionary, online sites)
As a parent, I'd want to understand why he couldn't work it out from resources he has, so I could help him with those knowledge gaps.

Oh, I get it. My post is useless because I'm not doing the OP's son's homework for him.

So many replies already! Thank you :) it is mainly just to find the mistakes but it would also help if he understood it! He’s 11 and has only been doing Spanish since September. He struggles with English grammar so this is quite challenging for him...

It's a mish mash of feminine and masculine adjectives. And the second pero is correct.

Google translate should definitely get you 90% of the way there! What do you get when you put it in there?

cloudy She's asking someone to help. If you don't want to, why post at all?

Get DS to check the adjective agreements. Maybe he has some vocab sheets in his book? For reference he could look back on lessons about family, pets and descriptions on appearance and personality.
Encourage him to really use his exercise book to revise previous learning. Then look up words he doesn't know with the dictionary or wordreference.com (free online dictionary)
