Crying child | Mumsnet

Hi, I work in a supermarket on the check outs, a family came through my till yesterday with a screaming toddler, not just a small cry which is understandable but a full on melt down brat fit, the parents were ignoring her (Mum was holding her but not pandering to it) and dad was packing the shopping. After a few minutes I asked Mum if she would minding moving with crying child, she stared and me then stormed off, dad continued packing, finished and paid and said nothing. Was I BU to ask her to move? I don’t particularly like small children so I may be biased but the noise was so annoying
