To be disappointed that my parents are so racist

Today my sister met up with my mum and told her that she was glad that none of the three of us "had ended up with a black man." My sister told her how racist that was and she said "well, I suppose it is, I just can't see any of you with one" which is even worse! My dad has always been pretty racist (of the "I'm not 'racialist' some of my best friends are..." variety), but I just feel really fed up. I try to live my life as prejudice free as possible, and yet I was brought up by people with what I see as really intolerable views. Ironically they're not even that old, only in their early 50s! Unsurprisingly, my mum, dad and my step-father are all avid Brexiteers as well. AIBU to expect a bit more? Fortunately myself and my sisters are all very progressive and accepting, and all three of us voted to stay in the EU. Can't understand how we all turned out the way we did! Anyway, yeah, just feeling a bit fed up really, and upset that I'm the one who has to have the racist parents.
