AIBU?

To suggest that Dilys Price clearly doesn’t care about Norman.

Watching the show with the kids (yay...) and there is a fire, who would have guessed right? So there is a fire and who does she hug up to? The bus driver, while her son stands at the edge of a cliff and a fire blocks their exit. I mean, I know Norman is a little shit but I am starting to think she is the reason why. Clearly I’ve gone crazy even debating this. Grin

If Norman was my son i would probably leave him too 🙄 he’s a horrid little boy!

Does anyone else ever ponder how Pontypandy has such a huge budget for all the latest vehicles, gadgets, and tons of staff? And how much do you think home insurance is there (contents and building) considering the huge amount of accidents that occur?!

Oh and Dilys and the bus driver are clearly together. ‘Do you want to go for a picnic?’ He slobbers occasionally at her, and they’re forever cuddled up. I’ve also wondered where Norman’s bio dad is, but he probably didn’t hang about, having to live with Dilys the Dire and Norman the Numpty.

He's responsible for most of the fires in Pontypandy. The fire service would be out of business without NP. Where is his mother when he's causing all these fires.

Clearly Norman's bio dad is Fireman Sam. He got drunk at the annual pontypandy cheese rolling competition,(which he won, natch, beating his loser brother Mike and saving 2 stray kittens and a runaway pram whilst doing so). He was so puffed up with his own self importance that Dilys was able to slip a Viagra in his double strength shandy a and take advantage in his inebriated state. Sam doesn't remember, but does have inexplicable erotic dreams about Dilys, in.which she ties him.up and rides him, beating him with an out of date baguette from the shop.

Dilys was rather disappointed with Sam's hose, but - as usual - it did the job and had the added effect of putting out Dilys's unrequited flames of passion for Sam. She lives in fear of him finding out that Norman is his, and so has invented a story about a red headed rogue from the valleys, who promised her the earth and left her holding the baby.

Trevor the bus driver is the only.person that Dilys has confided in, and she has now realised that he is a REAL man, and Sam is just a boy. She wants Trevor to make an honest woman of her, but Trevor sees her as sullied, and only good for a grope behind the bus.

I have some safeguarding concerns about Pontypandy in general. Fireman Sam has not made the necessary referral to social services, possibly because he is Sams father. He is conflicted however he has a duty of care to Sam and the wider community.

I saw bbc breakfast last week and they had Fireman Sam operating a camera. Is there nothing he can't do?

Daily’s Price has never improved in the last 18 years yet social services are nowhere to be seen. Norman must be in his 30’s by now!

Narnia that is brilliant 😂

She was with him at the fire (the one caused by the bottle on grass left by the girl in a wheelchair, the one with the embarrassing dad) as soon as the fire got large and they realised they were backed onto the edge of a cliff, Dilys wraps herself around Trevor with no care for Norman at all.

My theory is that Norman is a little terror because he has a Mum that just doesn’t care. Her grope behind the bus is clearly more important. In fact her gripe with Trevor seems more important than an actual fire. He never seems too interested though.

I take it Narnia has been subjected to a lot of FS? Grin

I cannot abide it. Makes me want to smash the TV. I leave the room when it's on, muttering "Norman is a cunt" under my breath.

I suspect Norman is unfairly blamed for fires, personally. Surely part of Fireman Sam's job is to promote fire safety information? Yet weekly (and highly suspiciously) there are fires in Pontypandy. In fact, at a time when fire services are being cut back across the country Fireman Sam is still in a job - and in fact they seem to have a multitude of vehicles and equipment for a sleepy one-horse town...

I agree with those who think Fireman Sam is clearly Norman's Dad. I also think he is paying Norman to start those fires which keep him in a job. Fireman Sam is not as goody-goody as he makes out...

Norman is a twat of the highest order and obviously fireman Sam's lovechild or he would of been arrested by now for wasting emergency services time.
