Mouldy cheese

Is it ok to cut mould of cheese and then use the non bit old mouldy cheese?

I think it's fine, bit the cheese does taste different. I can tell, which always used to astonish my stepdad.

Yeah that's fine, as long as it is a hard cheese and the rest of it looks ok.

I do it, the cheese doesn't always taste different. If it does I don't eat it as it's foul, nobody else notices though.
