Help! I'm sore, knackered, huge, anemic and need activity ideas for the kids (age 5 & 7). Done the cinema and swimming. The latter was a bit too much effort for my size.

Feeling truly fed up and sorry for myself tbh.

Aw OP, I'm struggling as it is (35 weeks pregnant), and I don't even have other children to be entertaining and cleaning up after. So I well and truly salute you! Flowers

I only have one ds (4.5) but am also really struggling. I'm 30 weeks and severely anaemic and out of breath all the time. No suggestions but following in sympathy.

I was where you are this time last year. We did lots of crafts, board games, garden games, gentle trips to various parks and my dh did the more active stuff on his days off work.

Just be kind to yourself and know your limits. My ds was happy just to spend time with me doing something as simple as reading a book. So just give them plenty of you and don't trog all around town. Best of luck.

Thanks guys.

Yes, being out of breath sucks. Climbing the stairs is like Mount Everest.

Feel guilty that I can't enjoy my kids' holiday.

Will be watching this for ideas I'm 29 weeks pregnant and have my 12, 7, 6 and 3 year olds to entertain.

Only thing we have done so far is soft play and I spent the whole time hoping no one would decide they needed rescuing from in there as I would never fit now! Blush

In the nicest possible way, you need to do less.

Do you have a garden? They might entertain themselves for a good while with some bowls and water making "potions".

Would they like to "wash" a dolly or 2 outside?

If you have any concrete paths, those outside chalks are good.

Let them make their own lunch, it will take about 2 hours and they'll spread the butter badly, hack up your cheese, etc but all you have to do is sit on a chair and supervise.

They could also make a menu and serve you! (This is my favourite one!)

Failing all that, TV! It's only 6 weeks, it won't kill them.

Do you have a clip n climb or similar near you? They basically climb up walls (harnessed of course!) for an hour while you sit in a viewing gallery with a drink and snack and pretend to watch?

TV won't to them any harm!

Bowling but you sit and watch? If they are keen, send them to a couple of drop off camps like sports ones? Good luck, it's miserable being pregnant in the heat!

Feeling your pain love x I'm 35 weeks, knackered, uncomfortable and have my 4.5 year old to entertain. Thankfully she still has nursery 2 days a week which she loves but I'm shattered. This 2nd pregnancy is really tough.
I'm planning an activity a day and inviting friends with kids over for play dates, company for me and playmates for her.
Have a look on Pinterest for ideas.
Big hugs love x

36 weeks with a 5 year old here. I've sent him to the childminders for 2 days a week for a rest and then meeting friends in the park on the other days so their kids will entertain mine
