Hi wonder if anyone can let me know my rights?
I bought a joie everystage erf car seat from uberkids on 22 Feb 2017
It's becoming a nightmare to tighten the harness and the webbing you pull is fraying.
Uberkids have said it's under warranty and they will pick it up and send to joie to fix but it will take 2-3 weeks.
I cannot be without a car seat for this time as it's impossible for me to get my toddler to nursery so I can work.
I cannot take this time off as I go on mat leave shortly
I have contacted joie direct who have said there is nothing they can do it will need to go back to them
Neither company can lend me a car seat for this duration. They will not refund me to return the product.
Apparently my only option is to buy a cheap replacement and send the joie back to them. When they fix mine the 2nd car seat will be redundant and to be honest I really cannot afford to purchase a 2nd seat for 3 weeks. Hiring one through a hire company is nearly as expensive as buying a new one.
AIBU to expect uberkids or joie to offer a solution that is not going to cost me? Do I have any rights on this?
The car seat is supposed to last for years. I have had it just over 3 months
