AIBU?

To ask about your lady bits?

Name change for obvious reasons...

Long story short I have an ongoing undiagnosed skin condition where my vulva is generally sore and tears easily. I have been repeatedly checked for all STD's, yeast and BV with no luck. Don't use harsh chemicals, wash daily with an emollient, handwash pants etc all possible precautions I can think of to help the skin have been tried

However, also, everyday I can remove a layer of white stuff from my vulva, its not even like discharge its much thicker in consistency and no smell. From reading up I think its basically smegma (bloody horrid word) but I get this build up about three times a day and I genuinely don't know if this is normal or not... Do you get smegma on your bits and if so how regularly and how do you cut back on it?

Or is there anything else you can think of it may be as I've tried a few doctors and all stumped at why my bits are like they are.. :(

That sounds really miserable! No I don't get much, tiny amount after a day maybe, j never thought of it as smeg ma, I thought it was dried up wee Grin.
Have you tried not specifically washing yourself? Just a rinse of water in the shower maybe? Perhaps you're very sensitive to the emollient you're using? Or are you sitting in the bath and coming into contact with other soaps shampoo/showergel etc?

Have you been checked for lichen schlerosus?

Sorry nothing helpful to add other than to say that sounds awful for you and I agree with PP, could you try for a week or so to just slosh yourself with water. Also make sure you're not getting anything inside you as that would cause irritation.

You need a dermatologist consultation

Do you know what's cause and effect?

What happens if you don't pick at your bits for a week or so? Maybe you're just irritating your undercarriage?

Have you been to a dermatologist? It could be lichen something or other or maybe psoriasis.

I had a similar issue to you, with out the smegma, and was constantly being treated for thrush until I pointed out to a GP that the constant thrush treatment was doing FA. They started to investigate other things. At the same time, but unrelated to those investigations I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and once treated found my vulva symptoms pretty much cleared up. It's still a bit red but not sore or itchy. I also know when my meds need upping, as I get a flare up!
