AIBU?

AIBU to wish my neighbour would disappear or something?

They're very heavy drinkers, and have upset a lot of people in the area with very loud garden parties going on till fuck o'clock, whilst being happy to threaten me on Facebook because I vacuumed a tub of glitter up at 7:45pm once. Or threatening me again because my dog barked twice at 9am while ignoring that their dog barks at 3am.
That type.

Now my dd2 is getting it. She's fallen out with their dd of the same age due to some people shit stirring, and they're refusing to give my dd her stuff back that had been left over there, as teenagers do.
I'm writing the stuff off, even though some of it's mine, as quite frankly it's bad enough having to live next door to the unexploded bomb, let alone having them kick off for having the temerity to ask for her stuff back, so I'll happy replace dd's stuff.

But what they're doing now is unforgivable.
They know dd has the back room, and they go in the garden and loudly slag her off. Their chum, another neighbour, is chiming in with utter crap that my dd was harassing her for her shoes back, which is bull as dd was asleep when this is supposed to have happened.

DD now feels too scared to go in her own back garden or bedroom, and there's nothing we can do.

These grown arse people are aggressive backstabbing bullies, who have made many people's lives a misery, but there's nothing we can do. Complaints will get straight back to them and they'll ramp it up even more. I think DH is on the verge of having it out with them but I've told him it's not worth it, they'll just carry on but worse.

Sorry for long post, didn't want to drip feed. Am at wits end.

I wouldn't interact with people who steal from you and harass your child in this way.

Record the loud comments from your daughter's bedroom with a log of time and details of events, get as much of it as possible, at least three incidents on different days, also record any other instances of antisocial/harassing behaviour towards you. Once you have done this go to the police with what you have collected and an itemized list of your daughters property they have kept and ask to make a complaint of theft and harassment.

Oh I forgot to mention, if there were threats made towards you through text, facebook etc. take screenshots.

Don't complain if it's a tit for tat thing, though. The police don't have time for that sort of thing, especially at the moment.

I avoid them as much as possible for the sake of my blood pressure. Don't talk to or about them, don't go in my garden if they're out there, that sort of thing. Just "hiya hun" type stuff.

Hi xx

Fucking infuriating these people.
If I were you I'd accidentally empty my mop bucket out of your DDs window when they're talking about her!

(But I'm petty. I agree with previous comments. Record and call police.)

They'd just escalate though. That's the thing 🙁

You can do plenty, I've been there. Start writing down EVERTYHING and log with police on 101. If the are ever on your property or verbally harassing you record ( don't film) on your phone, again log with police and council anti social behaviour unit.

The police will issue an ABC, anti social behaviour contract, they can (and will ignore) and next step is keep logging and reporting, then police can issue ASB order. If this is broken then they can be arrested and it escalates up from there.
The process might feel long winded but we had a supportive local bobby and it worked. Good luck, nothing so awful as awful neighbours

I had a very similar issue, so I sympathise greatly. It's so awful having to live with.
I agree with others; make a record of everything and just keep reporting. It can be tedious, but it's the only way to get anything done.
Good luck Flowers
