To want to take MY children on holiday?

Huge back story but here goes.. DH has 3 DC from a previous relationship, their mother is Cypriot. She regularly takes them to Cyprus and Greece for holidays to visit relatives, whilst over there they often take internal flights to their holiday beach house or to Greece and stay in 5* hotels by the beach or go skiing in the mountains. Sometimes they go with British friends. This year they have already been four times, they are due to go away again in May, July and October. We haven't been able to take our 2other DC away this year because DH didn't want to go within DSC as he said it was unfair on them and we couldn't afford to take them all. DH went skiing with his friends in Feb. He has now agreed that we go away in July without DSC whilst hey will be on holiday with EW. When we do go away as a family of 7 DH always wants to go to a 5* hotel, all inc. with lots of activities and watersports to keep the children amused (4 DC aged between 10&15 &one 5YO). This time I began looking at the usual in a Caribbean country that we visited last year with all DC, they had an amazing time. DH now says that we can't do that as it would be unfair on DSC to go somewhere like that without them, especially since they had such a great time last time. He wants to go to Portugal and rent a villa. I see what he means about the DSC wishing they could go, but then they have so many holidays a year that other DC don't that they're definitely not missing out! DC will only get one holiday this year, I want them to have a fab time, especially eldest who is 11. If we get a villa she will be stuck with 5yo dd and two adults, surely this is more reason to go to a hotel with other children and activities? AIBU to not want to take my DC on one nice but average holiday this year to save DSC feelings when they travel lavishly numerous times a year? Is it unreasonable to take them on one lavish holiday without DSC?
