AIBU to wish my children would STOP CRYING

It drives me nuts. Someone is ALWAYS crying. Even lovely days on the beach turn to tears quickly because of sand, wanting ice cream, the doll desperately wanted was left at home because 'that' doll hasn't been mentioned since Christmas.

My youngest used to be the snuggliest, easiest, happiest child ever, filled with giggles and happiness over ducklings and daffodils and dandelions. Now it's 'waaaaahhhhhh' at ANYTHING.

Even something like going for a walk is a nightmare as they both want to be carried by me and it isn't physically possible and they cry and cry.

Yet my photos show the sunniest children in England

Did I really cry all the time as a child? yes, I did I'm sure :)

Sounds like my next door neighbours kids - always screaming over something / nothing. Drives me mad.

Do you live next to me? Constant from 'waking me up at silly early' o'clock (and I get up at 6:30am as it is) to 'why isn't that kid in bed asleep?' o'clock.

I need it!

DD1 is happy on the slide until I push dd2 on the swing so then I have to admire DD1 on the slide. DD2 starts howling. I cuddle DD2; DD1 starts crying because she feels left out. Both girls have a cuddle. I suggest brightly we ALL go on the roundabout. DD1 sits down on the grass and starts howling with the intensity of mother Mary losing her only son on the crucifix. Her cardigan is buttoned. I go to unbutton it and she cries even more. Dd2 starts crying too.

Upper, they are 2 and 1 but both on the cusp of turning 3 and 2. It's a difficult age!

Rest assured, tired next-door-to-toddler posters, our nearest house is luckily quite a long way away relatively speaking. In any case they can be a bit screechy at home but it tends to be out and about we get 'waaahhhh!'

Today my son cried because he wanted to get into the car, but he also wanted to walk the other way, but wanted to open the car, but not get in just walk away...but when I shut the door he cried more....toddlers are ridiculously unreasonable.

I get this. I'm in the same throes of the lovely ages of nearly 3 and 1 and a half...
Except today they've been lovely. Friday I was in tears.... but it's days like today I hold on for.

DD1 has taken to crying at dogs, which does annoy me as i love them it can make them nervous

I sat in the middle of a bloody park today with someone's infinitely patient Lab exclaiming 'look how FRIENDLY he is!'

That's a tough couple of ages.

I don't know if this will help you but I got my eldest a balance bike when he was 3 which stopped any crying about wanting a carry because he could go for an age on that without getting tired.

Ugh it seems we have constant crying. 2 and 4. Always...when they are happy one decides to purposely upset the other,. resulting in screamy crying instead of normal background wailing. Drives me insane :S

I have two girls who have similar moments. I just lie on the floor when they do it and they crawl all over me. Don't know why but it always works.

Maybe not one for the supermarket though.

Gosh, I'm so tempted to start a new thread...

AIBU? I took my lovely, patient, child-friendly Lab to the park this afternoon. He was kidnapped by some random woman and made to sit in the middle of the park for hours while a toddler screamed at him.
