Am home alone with the dogs for a few days and found some episodes of this on the Sky box that DH had for DD1 so thought I'd give it a go.

OMG I cried throughout and then couldn't let my three dogs out of my sight for the rest of the evening!

The only good thing was the guy himself (no idea of the name) but what a gorgeous man.

I'm a wimp, aren't I?

Noel fitzpatrick!!!!!!

I would marry him if I could. He works so hard and the way he says "hello mum! Hello dad!" Melts my heart!!

I think it's incredible what he does, but it must cost so much money. I have seen him foot the bill in a few exceptional cases though.

Totally not relevant but what kind of dogs do you have? :D

That's the name. I'd totally run away with that man (and my dogs). I do think I am a little bit in love with him now.

They are retrievers - similar size and colour to Monty Don's dogs.

It was also an expensive evening as I ended up increasing my lot's insurance. ouch.

The Supervet looked after my Frenchie after he jumped off a windowsill (don't even ask, he thinks he's a cat). He's a rescue and been poorly bred so has a lot of deformities in his spine etc.

My dog LOVED him and I am so thankful I is pet insurance because it was about £3k for some x-rays, CT scans and Tramadol BUT we found more about our dog than we would have done from speaking to his previous "owners".

And I can concur he has a lovely glow warmth about him irl. Plus seeing the dogs running around with wheels on the grounds was pretty cool!

Yeah he's fine. This was about 5 years ago now. Thankfully he's not climbed onto any window sills since thank god!

I love him. I series link the episodes so I can watch when I need a good cry. The man is a bloody genius

Oh he's lovely. I love the programme. There's a particularly tear jerking one with a homeless man and a black lab.

I just wish they showed more cats.

IIRC Noel's ideal woman is Keira Knightley, who his dog is named after. But he doesn't have all that much time for dating.

I've only watched it once and turned off in disgust after a dog was brought to him needing life saving treatment costing £3k. The owners were distraught, couldn't afford it & had no insurance. He persuaded them to go ahead.

I don't know if off camera he gave them any discount but I did think it was wrong to persuade them to fork out thousands when they didn't have the money.

I love the show but have heard he's a bit of a wanker IRL. Heard from a vet who has worked with him so hoping it's just professional jealousy talking.

In my fantasy he's as lovely as he seems on TV!! Though will never meet him. DH wouldn't let me anyway lol.
