Abu? What would you do ?

My husband was taken ill last week at home went to hospital was diagnosed with an ailment, sent home with Meds told to come back in a month to clinic to be seen further. Has now been taken ill again with same thing but at work so they called an amberlance he's been taken to a&e over an hour from where we live as he works a long distance from home but in the town his parents live Aibu to stay at home with the children whilst his mum sits with him? Should I be at the hospital or am I best with the kids 8&4 I just don't know what to do for the best ! My mother collect my dc from school knows what's going on but has left them here with me saying if you really need to go to him She can have them but she think I should stay with them and let his mother be with him. His mother is asking if and when I'm going to get there to be with my hubby and the dc are unkeen to leave me! Hubby has tx to say he's out of pain as on drip hasn't t been seen by dr yet and has been told it will be several hours before anyone gets to him 😱 Should I go to him or stay with the children ?

Stay with your DC for now. You going to your husband will only distress them further. DH doesn't sound like he's in any danger and it sounds like he'll be home with you before long anyway.

I'd be making a call based on how emergency the situation is or could get (which you don't reveal in your post). A slipped disc? Leave him with Mum. A pn unexplained seizure? I'd go.

However, I can guess that if he's been told it will be several hours until he's seen, it's more likely the former?

Thank you I'm driving myself crazy just feel everyone one will think I'm a shit wife for not rushing to be with him espeacily after having his works hr lady phone to tell me he's poorly and a work coluege going to hospital with him and not dropping everything to go to him. I know if it were the other way round he would be with me and leave the dc with my mum but then he rarily has the dc on his only where as they are with me all the time when not at school or nursery the 2 days I work I just feel so torn

I would stay with kids but keep in touch with Hubby - MIL doesn't have to stay he is a big boy now so that is down to her.

If and when you need to go over call up your Mum and explain why you need to go - he is going for surgery or needs collection etc and then go.

No not life an death at the moment as far as I know can't like you guessing if they are happy to leave him for so long hospital aren't worried either he was taken in at 3pm the hospital last week were happy to send him home on antibiotics with a see you again in a month or 2 (not slipped disk but common thing like it )
