AIBU to ask for £1.50 to teach DD about the value of money (or wasting it) or chalk it up to another mum mugging

DD12 wanted to watch a particular film with me that is a series. I am not fussed about the film myself but like spending time with her in a way she chooses. She said her friends had seen it and she thought it looked good.

Only 2 and 3 are available on our subscription service so we spend ages looking for no1 elsewhere and logging into things with my card and I pay £3 for it. Only for her to to walk off 30 mins into the 3 hour film saying it's boring!

On this topic why the hell have Now TV got 2&3 of a series of films and not number 1??! Drives me mad!

Meh. Was it a boring film?

Charging her will not help her realise the value of money. Sorry it was a faff to get access to. Did she do all the leg work so you just had to pay? Or did you have to search it out as well?

That's annoying, but if it was actually boring then you probably can't blame her too much!

I was joking really, peeved at being mugged off another few quid for no reason!
no it wasn't boring I think she just changed her mind.
I watched it anyway by myself!

i had to search for it on the TV, go upstairs to get the fire stick, plug it in, do all the searching on there, mess about changing my debit card on Amazon, putting the payment through only for her to get up after 30 mins and say 'hmm I'm going upstairs now....'
