Dogs shouldn't use public toilets

A woman has just taken her dog to the toilet. To use the toilet. In a public train station.

I know this because there was quite a loud running commentary from the woman.

Is this a thing now? And if so, WTAF?!

It is a bit weird, but dogs can and do get stolen sometimes. I wouldn't like to leave a dog unattended outside in a busy public place.

If I had my dog out with me (alone) and needed to use the loo I'd probably take him in with me if there was room. I'd rather that than leave him tied up outside to be stolen/let off his lead/tormented by someone/possibility he may feel threatened and growl at someone.

It didn't occur to me that someone might mind tbh.

I wouldn't have a problem if she just took it in as she was 'using the facilities'.
I'm not so sure how I would feel if I saw a dog squatting on the seat....

No. She was definitely taking the dog to use the toilet. I did a double take because I thought it must have been a child. But it was a white dog on a lead.

From what I could hear the dog didn't quite get there in time.
