AIBU?

Dogs shouldn't use public toilets

A woman has just taken her dog to the toilet. To use the toilet. In a public train station.

I know this because there was quite a loud running commentary from the woman.

Is this a thing now? And if so, WTAF?!

The woman took the dog into the toilet whilst she used it?

It must be that, as dogs do not and cannot use toilets themselves..

She probably wasn't mentally well

It is a bit weird, but dogs can and do get stolen sometimes. I wouldn't like to leave a dog unattended outside in a busy public place.

You're sure she didn't need the loo herself and just took the dog with her rather than leave him unattended?

Say what now? I cannot believe what I just read!

Do you just mean she took her dog into the loo whilst she used it?

If I had my dog out with me (alone) and needed to use the loo I'd probably take him in with me if there was room. I'd rather that than leave him tied up outside to be stolen/let off his lead/tormented by someone/possibility he may feel threatened and growl at someone.

It didn't occur to me that someone might mind tbh.

Hang on .... are you saying it was the dog actually going to the toilet and not the woman??? I thought you meant she was using it and the dog went into the cubicle with her..... Confused

As in she sat the dog on the loo to use it or she just took it in with her?

Now I think about it it's pretty weird no one is disgusted by dog wee in the street

I wouldn't have a problem if she just took it in as she was 'using the facilities'.
I'm not so sure how I would feel if I saw a dog squatting on the seat....

If a cat can do it....

No. She was definitely taking the dog to use the toilet. I did a double take because I thought it must have been a child. But it was a white dog on a lead.

From what I could hear the dog didn't quite get there in time.

Sorry but there's no way that's true. Hmm

It is weird I grant you but surely preferable to the dog going in the station?

I was there. It's true.

Tbh I have often wondered how dogs cope on long train journeys... the secret is out! Grin

Quite relieved (sorry) a load of people haven't turned up who think this is normal.

Or who do it.

Omg sorry I misunderstood. The dog USED the toilet?! Hahahaa. Good lord. Well, kudos to the woman for training it!

Wee or poo?

Hmm, it's better than the dog lifting it's leg and pissing up a pole.

Yes, wee or poo is the important question? Bitch or dog?
